Rita - Galway, Galway, Galway.

Once you get that out of the way, you MUST go to Northern Ireland. I find it is friendlier and happier and much more fun.

When you're completely on the North Coast, the Giant's Causeway is absolutely gorgeous (and is close to the Old Bushmill's Distillery, one of my favorites). There are so many great sea-towns on the coast to stop and stay at B&B's, it'll make your head spin.

Head to Belfast and see the Europa (the world's most bombed hotel) and check out the murals. Queen's College has a beautiful campus, and the night-life is also pretty fun around there. There is a ton to see in Belfast.

You can also check out 'Derry/Londonderry, which is Western Europe's oldest "Walled" city. They have some great murals there and the town is a lot of fun.

Let's e-mail and discuss more :)....

I think that once you arrive in irerland you should drink beer. Then take a short nap and dream of william wallace - wait, was he irish or scottish, i can't remember. Then you should have some more beer. Then you should go to gallway bay - the only irish location i can think of. Oh yes, and a friend told me never to order and irish car bomb in a bar.
