GPS

The next stage for our trip is complete with the purchase of a GPS system. I have been using it around town to become more familar with it. However, it occurred to me that when we are driving in the UK, I will be on the other side of the road. I suppose I could start driving on the other side of the road while we are still in the states, but I fear that this is ill advised. I don't think the United States Post Office will allow me a truck to practice either. Oh well.... I guess you can only prepare to some extent and then it will be time to take life as it comes.

The People

I had one of those moments today. The type of moment when you become excited at the thought of something wonderful about to happen. I called to make my payment for the trip. (Yes, ahead of schedule which I know will amaze some of you). I have done most of my dealing regarding this trip on the internet (Authentic Ireland) , so I have not actually talked to anyone. Now, as you may realize this lead to a little moment of panic while I was waiting for the phone to be answered. After all what if this was crazy to book online. Then a very nice lady with an accent that seemed to communicate warmth with the very opening word came on the line. And some how I knew that this trip held the potential to be something more than I could have expected. I know it is all from a voice on the phone, but every once in awhile even I can be a bit of a romantic.

Less than 100 days

Now that the new year has started it is time to finalize preparations for the trip.
I have added a number of things to the blog. Thanks in large part to having time to actually work on the blog. T and I had a great time at my brother's wedding. It is hard to believe that trip is coming so close. Stay tunned to the blog as there is more information to come.
